Our immediate family lives out of state, and my aunt lives in San Diego alone since her husband passed away. Sharp Hospital connected us with Sheffield while my aunt was being transferred to the skilled nursing rehab. She dedicated her time to keeping us updated about my aunt's status and coordinated efficiently with the social workers until discharge. She went above and beyond, even coordinating the movers to the community and other resources for my aunt. We arrived in San Diego a week later, and everything was well organized. She worked compassionately for our family. Thank you, Nurturing Care indeed.

I needed to place my brother in a long-term care home, he had been in a rehab facility. I was so blessed to have Sheffield from Nurturing Care Living contact me. She had been put together with me from the rehab facility. Sheffield answered all of my concerns about which type of care facility he would flourish in. She set up several visits so I could check several of the facilities Naturing Care recommends. It was very comforting to be able to check them out and make a selection. I selected Melrose Care Home and have been extremely happy with the care he is receiving there. When I walked in, I knew the environment was very caring and homey. He has received excellent care and I am notified quickly if anything needs my attention. I don’t know how I would have found anything so perfect for my brother, without the best situation Sheffield found for us.

We felt sincere care and compassion, and during a difficult time of trying to sort things out and making decisions for and about my elderly mom, we never felt alone in the process. Sheffield and her team at nurturing care living are so attentive and present, always ready to assist. It’s a tough thing, finding the right housing and care for a family member who cannot live on their own, and incredibly exhausting. There are so many things to consider, and it was overwhelming, but they were there to relieve lots of the pressure! They were with us every step of the way, evaluating and recommending facilities that were available and met our needs and standards.

Sheffield helped us place my Father. She was attentive, responsive and knowledgeable. I recommend her if you need help with a family member in need.

Her knowledge and experience made us comfortable and confident that we would find the best fit for our Mom. Sheffield went above and beyond with her time and help. Once we found a home we unfortunately, had to find a senior rehabilitation facility and once again, she was there day and night to offer help and find us a great facility.
